"We're just requiring our kids to wear a mask at the dance, but other than that, we're doing everything that we can to make it as traditional as possible," Hagen said. The homecoming dance will be held at 8 p.m. "We are very excited and we're trying to make it as traditional as possible," said Gina Hagen, Onekama principal/superintendent. This year, however, the dance, pep assembly and parade are making a return to Onekama's homecoming week festivities. The school made the most of it with dress-up days, decorating posters and a stromboli party at the end of the week. When March rolled around safety protocols still precluded activities such as a dance and pep assembly from taking place.
